Bear

Bear is a joy to live with. His coat is velvet and he’s athletic and agile. He knows all the commands, how to walk properly on leash, what belongs to dogs and what belongs to humans. He is a graduate of K-9 Coach Dog Training in Smyrna. Whoever adopts Bear will have a lifetime of refresher training available. He's microchipped, on heartworm and flea/tick preventative and completely healthy and ready to go.

Bear gets along with other dogs as long as everyone behaves and there is strong leadership in the family. He’ll need adequate exercise, social opportunities, good nutrition and continued training in order to reach his full potential as a stellar companion. He had a tough start in life, chained and then injured and abandoned. Now that he’s discovered that humans can be caring and trustworthy, he’s ready for his forever home.

He needs to be an integral part of his family and won’t be content staying in a fenced back yard alone all day; he’ll find his own entertainment if necessary. Bear would do best with an active owner who will involve him with many aspects of family life.

Sophie

Despite her very sad past, sweet Sophie embraces each day with wonder and enthusiasm. She greets everyone she meets with a big smile, wiggly body, and a happy pant. We met Sophie during the very cold month of February where she was a junk yard dog at a van repair shop. She had wandered up to the property with every bone exposed from lack of food and an apparent recent delivery of puppies that had depleted all of her resources. The van shop employees took pity on her and allowed her to stay with daily feedings of SPAM. Fortunately, at night, they would allow her to be locked in the shop due to the frigid cold.

She quickly learned how to ask for a potty break by going to the door and patiently waiting for her caretaker to take her out. She is a very smart girl! We have had her fully vaccinated, and she is currently on heartworm medication and is ready for her life to begin with her new family!

Sophie is a phenomenal dog who wins the hearts of everyone who meets her! Without question, Sophie would be a wonderful loving addition to any family!
