Fix GeorgiaPets
An outreach program of ACRF
Mission Statement:
“Fix Georgia Pets (FGP) is focused on supporting organizations that offer free or low cost spay and neuter services throughout the state of Georgia, thus reducing the number of homeless dogs and cats. The goal is to stop the pet overpopulation crisis by increasing awareness of programs that are available to pet owners. These programs are funded through charitable contributions.”
The sad facts are:
1) 70% of shelter animals in Metro Atlanta will be killed. Compare that with 6% in all of England And 4% in New Hampshire.
2) 80,000 pets have been killed in Metro Atlanta last year. Concentrated spay neuter in other areas of the US have reduced this number by 40%.
It is easy to see that the pet population in Atlanta and other parts of Georgia is completely out of control. The only solution to avoid an exponential reproduction of animals is to spay and neuter. Our goal is to raise enough money to fix 50,000 pets over the next two years. The only way we can do this is through donations from people like you that wish to become a part of the solution. We will use the money to send grants to organized spay/neuter clinics and vets such as Lifeline, Furkids, Homeless Pets, Value Vet, Village Vets, Planned Pethood, GSPCA, AHS, etc.
